Don't know your County's Grade?
Not happy with the direction of your community's health or dissatisfied with your county's grade on the Health Justice Report Card? You can do something about it!
This toolkit is designed for use by groups, whether established or emerging, consisting of regular people who want to engage a broader constituency to win policy changes so your community can be healthier. It provides you with concepts, strategies and tools to improve your policy advocacy effectiveness. We've also included plenty of examples of how ordinary people have achieved extraordinary things to encourage you along the way.
The Praxis Project"s work is shaped by a framework that makes community organizing and capacity building central. We are committed to building power in communities that are often marginalized in policymaking. We hope this toolkit will help support your neighborhood association, community organization or grassroots group to address your community's needs, improve your grade and create long term change.
If your group ever needs assistance, we're here to help! Contact Ditra Edwards, Director of Training and Capacity Building at ditra@thepraxisproject.org or call (202) 234-5921.
